Created in 2020, Stella Candle Co. (SCC) quickly became my pride and joy, and a place to release all of my creativity. I always knew I wanted to own my own business one day but I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do. After being laid off in 2020, and doing a little too much TikTok scrolling during the small business boom, I decided to give candles a try. Candles have always been my favorite piece of decor while also helping with relaxation and anxiety relief.

Within a month of opening, SCC started to gain traction on TikTok and we’ve continued to successfully grow our community for the last 4 years. Creating a community of candle lovers and readers is one of the most genuine experiences I’ve ever had, making the risk of starting my own business completely worth the reward.

As if things could get any better, when my husband was laid off in 2022 we were able to start working together at SCC. While crafting our candles everyday, we get to laugh with each other and truly enjoy spending so much quality time together.
